The classic combination of sweet/sour, or agrodolce, this paste is a delicious addition to sweet or savoury dishes, as well as being a traditional accompaniment to a good, crumbly cheddar or creamy blue cheese.

For the simplest of all options, just add cheese. In this case something with bite is best – an aged cheddar, sharp pecorino or truly ripe, soft cheese - will really bring out the piquancy of new season’s grapes.
